Still some available and we're gonna open it for tasting today, Friday August 30 from 3:00 – 5:45!! Located south of the town of Montalcino in the hamlet of Sant' Angelo in Colle, Col D'Orcia has been an important and well-run Montalcino property for almost 40 years and is consistently regarded as one of the region's prolific producers on all levels. For vintage 2007, this stalwart estate made a mighty-fine Brunello, then again, what else would be expected from such a producer and in a magnificent vintage.

Col D'Orcia's 2007 is a textbook Brunello and a joy to smell and taste!! Full-bodied, packed with milk chocolate, violet and black cherry along with plenty of structure and power along with an underbelly of the great tangy sage earth notes of Southern Tuscany, specifically on the mouth-coating, drawn-out finish. While you wouldn't exactly be a barbarian if you uncorked one now, this wine will really sing from 2015 onward. If you've always wanted to be like us and say that your favorite Chianti is Brunello, then try this because rest assured, it ain't gonna be 40 bucks again!
