FERRARI BRUT METODO CLASSICO
$19.99 BTL./$119.94 - SIX PACK

After Giulio Ferrari returned to Trentino in Northern Italy from France in 1902 he was convinced that his native terroir could be special in the production of sparkling wine. Planting Chardonnay for his wines (which was certainly unheard of and blasphemous at the time) early on recognition came for these bubblies. Move ahead a century later and Ferrari is one of the most influential, important, high-quality and famous producers of Sparkling wine done in the Champagne method in all of Italy.

The latest cuvee is extremely charming and delivers up personality and charm without forcing one to take a second mortgage. 100% Chardonnay (Blanc de Blancs) with a seductive, finesse-laden mousse that flows so well throughout the mouth. Enhancing it all are wonderful scents and flavors of red apple, hawthorn, wheat and underlying mineral. Delicious as an aperitivo or to serve with fresh-from-the water shellfish.

FERRARI BRUT ROSE
METODO CLASSICO
$31.99 BTL./$191.94 - SIX PACK

60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, this soaring bubbly pink wine and that it comes from outside of Champagne is even more impressive. Beautifully crafted and as is the case with all of the Ferrari fizzes, this is done entirely in the classic method as is done in France’s Champagne region. For those of you who think of sparkling Rose as being sweet, this is a myth, as the top examples of so called pink Champagne are bone-dry, often with a lower dosage than most producers' non-vintage cuvees. They also contain a myriad of top-level juice that is solely selected for the their special pink wines.

A lovely pale salmon color, on the nose there are gorgeous aromatics of rhubarb, chalk, and a touch of classy brioche. In the mouth the mousse and creaminess is incredibly regal, with penetrating red fruits, most noticeably strawberry. Great texture and incredible length make this a truly exquisite alternative to much higher-priced pink wines from the Champagne region.

2007 FERRARI BRUT 'PERLE'
$35.99 BTL./$215.94 - SIX PACK

A mind bending vintage Blanc de Blancs, Ferrari’s 2007 Perle is nothing but the truth!! 100% Chardonnay and aged on its lees for 48-53 months before disgorgement, this wine will scare the bejeezus out of a hell of a lot of Champagne.

Achingly beautiful, sensuous aromas with its tiny bubbles shoot from the bottom of the glass like a Roman candle. Finesseful lemon scents wrap around wheat-thin biscuit and white chocolate that has seemingly has been ever so slightly jacked with hazelnut. Energetic, yet very classy and elegant in the mouth. Not a hair is out of place. The finish shows piercing and explosive hazelnut tones. This lingers for a very long time well after the fizz is swallowed and is going to impress any Champagne lover in your world.

2010 CIGLIUTI BARBARESCO
'VIA ERTE'
$39.99 BTL./239.94 - SIX PACK

Based in Neive, Cigliuti is not only a very prolific, boutique Barbaresco producer, they also happen to be one this Italian region’s most on fire commodities right now. Unless you’ve been living off of the wine grid, you know that both Barolo and Barbaresco put forth magnificence in vintage 2010.

Via Erte is from the single Cru of Bricco di Neive and is 100% Nebbliolo aged in large Slavonian barrels. In its youthful stage, the wine offers up sensations of elegant fresh flowers, pure Piedmont blue clay aromas, tar, a hint of leather and Neive's hallmark spicy chocolate licorice. The finish is regal and superbly defined and impeccably deep, even in its infancy. If you love Barbaresco, you owe it to yourself to have some bottles of this. At age 5 this is starting to unfold so if you want to open a bottle now, do decant and serve with food but for best results hold until the end of 2017 and drink through 2025+.

2013 COL D'ORCIA ROSSO SPEZIERI
$13.99 BTL./$167.88 CASE

A super-value wine from a historic and top Brunello di Montalcino producer that is an unabashed Tuscan guzzler. Over the years we have immensely enjoyed selling and drinking this red wine but the big news for vintage 2013 is along with now being organic, there is no Cabernet or Merlot in the blend.

85% Sangiovese, 15% Sangiovese and 100% Italian comfort wine! Bing cherry, rich earthy tones, violet, roasted sage and spice dominate this satisfying red. Fresh and mouth tickling with red fruit flavors follow into the mouth and leave your palate cleansed but satisfied. Enjoy with aged Italian cheeses or Penne with Bolognese sauce.
