Formerly known as Cuvee Prestige, Saint-Seurin is Michel’s Magical luxury wine that not only shows very well early, also ages way too well than any 17-buck red wine ever should. From the estate’s oldest vines on the hillside of Saint-Seurin near the cellars, the presence of Cabernet Sauvignon and 9-12 months aging in oak brings about a fine presence of depth, finesse and extensive potential.
Shining with plum and violet tones, North African spices, vanilla, currant and sandalwood aromas are very flirtatious and really unfold as the wines airs in the glass. Luscious and generous from the vintage, this wine has fullness without ever becoming a caricature wine. Loads of depth, persistence and extension, there is so much going on even at a young stage. Grab a good ribeye or duck breast and have this wine, you will not be disappointed. Drink over the next 8-10 years.
