2010 ERASMO CABERNET BLEND
$26.99 BTL./$161.94 - SIX PACK

Famed Brunello di Montalcino producer Col D'Orcia's owner Francesco Marone Cinzano has an incredible passion for top-flight, classified Growth Bordeaux and in the mid-90s decided to explore an operation far, far away, Chile's Maule Valley to be exact.

Col D'Orcia's greatness is exquisitely carried over to the southern hemisphere nicely. Erasmo's gateway red’s backbone is the 60% of Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot & 10% Cabernet Franc from densely planted, high-quality French clones. Impeccably stylish and complex, this is one of the coolest wines I have seen come from Chile. Penetrating aromas kick in immediately with a prominent presence of blackcurrant, graphite, hints of red earth and impressively intertwined undertones of espresso from excellent use of French barrels. Lacy fruit and balance rule the day, but its core of fruit is expressive, chewy and expansive. Firmly formed on the mid-palate then glides into a spice-laden finish that packed with spices like coriander, nutmeg and pepper and lasts and lasts and lasts. At age seven, this is drinking very well and will continue for another 5-7 more years.

2015 ACUSTIC MONTSANT
$17.99 BTL./$215.88 CASE

Located on slopes that surround Priorat like a horseshoe and about 2 hours south of Barcelona, the Montsant has its own distinction and terroir that vastly differs from that of its more famous, higher-elevated neighbor Priorat. Ever since the region was elevated to D.O. status in 2001, the quality has become increasingly stronger in subsequent vintages. Albert Jane has been at it in this area since the 2003 vintage and his wines are amongst the most prolific and are remarkably priced for their excellent quality.

65% Carignan and 35% Grenache coming from vines that are 35-80 years old. 2015 was a warm, classic Mediterranean vintage. Albert’s benchmark Montsant possesses pronounced aromatic herbs and spices around dense licorice, violet and wind-swept minerality. Strong varietal character with harmonious, but opaque, concentrated fruit. Impressive spiciness presents itself on the ripe, pleasantly structured, full finish that maintains vibrancy and zip. Very attractive now and can be aged for 5-7 years as well.

2013 CASTELL'IN VILLA
CHIANTI CLASSICO
$23.99 BTL./$287.88 CASE

Located in Castelnuovo Berardenga (home to Felsina, Petroio & many other luminaries), Principessa Coralia Pignatelli della Leonessa has been delivering classically formed Chianti wines since 1971. While many other producers are releasing their 2015s, Castell’In Villa marches to the beat of their own drummer and releases when they feel things are appropriate, hence 2013 is now upon us.

Old School indeed, no small barrels are used here; this wine exudes serious detail of origin and will flatten most producers' Riserva versions. From eight different sites in Berardenga, red is the color of focus here, not black. 2013 is a great Tuscan vintage and this 2013 has taken full advantage of the splendor with A heroic dose of aromas including sandalwood, sage, rose, underbrush followed by cherry pit plus hints of almond and anisette scents. If you are looking for a big dumb oak bomb with big chewy thick, fruit back away from our Castell’In Villa, because this is traditional and very fine, high-toned Chianti that is perfect for the table right now. The structure is fine but substantial and will grow for another decade. Have with slow braised or roasted meats over rich tomato-sauced pasta dishes but it will be at its ultimate best with some lamb chops and white beans.

2016 LOUIS MICHEL CHABLIS
$31.99 BTL.- EVERYDAY
*DROP BY TODAY FOR A ONE-DAY ONLY SPECIAL PRICE*

When it comes to wines from Chablis that aren’t aged in any oak, Domaine Louios Michel is the roots of the family tree that has emerged over the last bunch of decades. In fact, the only wood you will ever see at this Domaine is the wood that is on the outside of the building that houses the Domaine!

After a devastating frost, what was left in 2016 turned into magical wines for this region, which happen to be some of the most precise, and laser-focused offerings that I have seen in 30+ years in the business. The 2016 is magnetic mineral to the extreme. Pure, quite shimmering and crafted like a razor with well-honed blading edges. Very regal with lovely detail plenty of depth, the finish here really shines with the peaty quality of kimmeridgian soil along with an undertone of quince and saline. Superb finesse on the long finish, this wine is very likable now and will pair with just about anything that swims. It also has a nice tendency to age like a Premier Cru version. Drink it 7-10 years from vintage date. As mentioned above, there is a special price for today only for those who come in to taste!
