2010 OWEN ROE CABERNET FRANC "ROSA MYSTICA"
$24.99 BTL./$299.88 CASE

As many of our followers know, we have been working with Owen Roe wines since their inception and one thing that always stands out on David O'Reilly's roster of wines are his silent-assassin Cabernet Franc wines. Having become one of the leaders with this particular varietal the Rosa Mystica is made from several superb hillside Yakima Valley vineyards and exudes its varietal with depth and precision.

In true Owen Roe fashion, this is a flavorful wine that coats the palate with velvety dark plum, raspberry, warm spice and chocolate covered cherry. What is most notable is that while this is quite a decadent wine, it shows great balance and restraint with polished tannins and brightness that holds your full attention. Beautiful to drink now and through the end of the decade. Try it with braised short-ribs with a tangy sauce.

2010 CUNE RIOJA CRIANZA
$11.99 BTL./$143.88 CASE

90 POINTS – THE WINE ADVOCATE

"The 2010 CUNE Crianza, in a similar fashion to its 2011 sibling, is extremely aromatic, with clean raspberry aromas and the benefit of one more year in bottle, which provided it with some more complexity in the form of dried roses and sweet spice notes. The palate is velvety, really easy to drink, with clean flavors and good persistence...It's superb for its price tag! – 90 POINTS – THE WINE ADVOCATE"

2012 DOMAINE BUNAN COTES-DE-PROVENCE ROUGE "BELOUVE" KOSHER
$19.99 BTL./$239.88 CASE

For the most part, one cringes when looking at quality when it comes to Kosher wines but recently we have seen interesting and fine versions. Lo, they are few and far between, but in this case, we definitely can back this and drink it any time, Passover or other occasions!

Domaine Bunan is a Bandol producer who has holdings throughout the Cotes-de-Provence and this delicious mash-up of Grenache, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon reveals scents of cassis, smoke, lavender, black olive and a kiss of chocolate-mint. Over-delivering dimension, depth and structure with an excellent core of material, this begs for grilled or slow-roasted lamb dishes. Drink through 2018…Vin vinifié sous le contrôle du Beth Din de Paris (wine vinified under the control of Beth Din of Paris).

2012 A COROA VALDEORRAS GODELLO
$19.99 BTL./$239.88 CASE

The region of Valdeorras in Western Spain is a hot spot for white wines that reflect their amiable climate and varied soils. Adegas A Coroa is one of the area's exciting producers. Angel Lopez and his family own 10 acres of Godello vines around their winery situated at 1500 feet above sea level with the soils being a virtual slate beach.

Perfumy and very detailed; intense clay-soil driven minerals are buffered by lilac, orange/lemon, ginger and fennel. The fleshy, vinous and clean attack shows plenty of mouth-coating aspects, but the real beauty lies in the back of the mouth as the wine gains profound energetic zest and length. An absolute delight with spring seafood dishes and will especially make a halibut dish with a salsa verde a symphonic experience.

2012 DOMAINE FRANCOIS CAZIN CHEVERNY BLANC
$13.99 BTL./$167.88 CASE

Domaine Cazin, located in the Loire valley appellation of Cheverny perennially puts forth terrific white wine values. 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Chardonnay, and yes, it is permissible able to add chardonnay (or others), but Sauvignon must comprise 60-85% of the blend.

No oak is utilized which allows precise aromas and flavors of mineral, grapefruit, and smoke to define this flavorful white wine. A great value that shouldn't be missed by anyone that likes bone dry, crisp, refreshing white wines! Drink it with shellfish, especially fresh, raw oysters!

2009 ANTONELLI MONTEFALCO ROSSO
$17.00

Montefalco Rosso embodies the link between wine and the area of Montefalco in the landlocked region of Umbria which borders Tuscany, Le Marches and Lazio. Produced from 70% Sangiovese along with 15% each of Sagrantino and Merlot, this wine epitomizes the character and identity championed by Filippo Antonelli. Aged in large barrels, this wine takes on the vision of what Filippo Antonelli strives for: excellent fruit along with plenty of Umbrian terroir – concentration and depth along with freshness and likability.

Savory, generous and very traditionally made. Lots of marionberry, cherry, Italian herbs, and underlying spices. Dry and hearty with excellent vibrancy and length, this wine instantly transports you to Central Italy! Drink with an array of dishes including slow-roasted beef or risotto jacked with mushrooms.

2009 ANTONELLI UMBRIA ROSSO "CONTRARIO" SAGRANTINO
$20.00

Made with 100% of Umbria's noble Sagrantino grape, Antonelli's approach to this wine is quite contrary to his brother, Sagrantino di Montefalco, hence the name. Contrario is aged entirely in stainless steel vs. 4 years in wood for the behemoth Montefalco.

Not a little brother by any means, Contrario maintains its power and boldness, this wine has intense depth, structure and backbone along with tempting aspects of wild berry, forest floor, balsamic and undercurrents of anise and tangy earth. Stylish, smooth and cultured, this mouth-filling red can be uncorked now with beef, grilled sausage, lamb or hearty pasta dishes. Drink over the next 6-7 years. such a fresh way to look at and approach Sagrantino, don't miss it!

2010 ANTONELLI UMBRIA ROSSO "BAIOCCO"
$10.00

90% Sangiovese/10% Merlot and ALWAYS a terrific value from Fillipo Antonelli, this red is truly one of the remarkable 10 dollar reds from the entire sunny peninsula of Italy.

Savory with a combination of floral, notes along with blueberry, roasted earth, Italian spices and a kiss of tangy minerality, all of which gleams from the glass. The texture is flowing, clean, vibrant, very defined and possessing more warmth and depth than Tuscan versions at this price point. Overall it is a wine of confidence and character that one can proudly serve to friends with or without food.
