Cahors is located in the Dordogne, and is known as the "black wine of France." The best way to describe this soulful offering is to say that it smells and tastes very French. In fact, this wine’s characteristics are so French that one sniff may send you running for a pack of smokes, a baguette, and a white flag for purposes of surrender!
Clos la Coutale's Cahors combines noble, sturdy history with modern, fruity accessibility blended with 80% of the indigenous Auxerrois grape (better known as Malbec) with 20% Merlot for smoothness. The nose is ravishing with tones of black licorice, blackberry, hints of tar, and spices. Very drinkable and fleshy, enjoy over the next 4-5 years with duck, hearty stews, bleu cheese and pate.

100% Montepulciano, this flavorful red wine from Italy's Le Marches region along the Adriatic coast is poetic and animalistic all at once. Very exciting aromas of plum, violet, mineral and telltale Montepulciano sanguine aspects build nicely from the glass. In the mouth, it is firmly dry with nice depth and earth tones. Food-friendly, enjoy this sinister beauty with hearty pasta dishes or braised beef.
Not only is Garofoli one of Le Marches most important producers; they tend to usually be mentioned when it comes to Italy's elite even though they make such affordable wines. Both red and white wines are produced here in many ranges. If you love Italian wine values we cannot encourage you more to try some of Garofoli's delectable wines.

Sumptuous, layered and very packed structure, the Gaiole in Chianti area steeliness overlooks this wine like a mother bear. Saturated and lifting, this Chianti performs way, way above its price level. Oh yeah, it will go down as one of the superb non-Riserva wines of the 2012 vintage. Drink through 2022+.

From older vines from sites, Meredith Mitchell and Freedom Hill Vineyards, this number shows excellent fragrance; cereal, apple-cinnamon, engaging earth tones. High-quality richness along with rocket-like burst. Unfolds and expands on the long finish. A wonderful seafood wine, especially salmon.
